A Full Length for the Filthy
If you’re not a stranger to the page you already know just how phenomenal I think that Des Rocs is. He is an artist that has managed to keep me on my toes throughout the entirety of this pandemic. Lots of new music released. Including the masterpiece that is This Is Our Life, which if you can believe it was released last year. When that vinyl showed up on my doorstep it was like Christmas in March, nothing better than getting your hands on a little treat. It feels like I am always hearing something new and inventive from him. Each release opens a door to another chapter in his story, and leaves you salivating and wanting more. Well, my fellow filthy animals, our dream has come true. The Debut album is coming. Last week alongside this release we learned that there is an album coming our way in a little over a month! Let me repeat, THERE IS AN ALBUM COMING! A Real Good Person in a Real Bad Place will be gracing our eardrums and paving new paths in rock n’ roll on September 24th.
I know what you’re thinking, what is this photo? Why are you so excited about something a month away? Well, let me tell you. Along with news of this release came a new single “MMC.” Which is truly a thing of beauty both visually and musically, the above photo is the single art. The single starts with some perfectly filthy guitar, and a classic drop in from Des himself. This is an anthem for everyone that has ever had to fake it, or living a life that they know isn’t true to who they are. Something that has been huge this year is people quitting all of these fake things that aren’t worth their time and sanity. And this song is SUCH a vibe for all those on the cusp or that have the coworkers that are the epitome of fake. A true be your fucking self bop. If this is an indicator of what is to come, I cannot begin to tell you just how excited I am to be packed in like a sardine jamming along to this song and all of the coming others in October. That’s right y’all he’s touring. I’ll be seeing him in Los Angeles and in Austin. Nothing I have heard, has been quite so new but with such a classic feel. This guy is blazing a trail of his own, and living his best life. Can’t wait to see all that is ahead with him! Go check out the “MMC” video here.
